iPhone 5 Verizon? Yes, it’s that time again. Apple is getting ready to launch the iPhone 5, which they say will release on October 21 of this year. The phone is rumored to have an improved screen size to compete with the new Android Gingerbread OS that’s been released.
The new phone will obviously be the iPhone 5 Verizon, as the Verizon iPhone 4 proved a huge success.
It’s also been rumored that Sprint will finally receive the iPhone in it’s’ line-up; however the latest rumor floating around is that T-Mobile will be the first company to receive the iPhone 5.
Robert Scoble of TomsGuide.com posted an article on the iPhone 5 and T-Mobile, and stated this in his article:
“T-Mobile getting ready for iPhone 5? A friend of mine was just on the phone with one of the customer support reps and he got him to tell him what’s up (very strange, I know, but T-Mobile employees might not know that’s a no-no). The rep said that the company will be the first to get iPhone 5, coming September 25, and that they have been in training for weeks for this. Anyone else hear this?”
From that source it is quite clear (if accurate) that T-Mobile is already in training for the reception of the product on the specified date.
So what are some of the features of the new iPhone? As mentioned earlier, the new iPhone 5 is supposedly going to feature a 4-inch screen, as opposed to the 3.5 it is designed with in earlier models. This is said to have been changed to compete with Android phones that boast screens as large as 4.5 inches.
Another feature rumored to be implemented into the iPhone 5 Verizon (and possibly the Sprint iPhone 5 and the T-Mobile iPhone 5…) is that it will feature 512mb of RAM (that’s half a gig, for those that wanted to know) as a default for each phone.
The anticipated program iCloud is also supposed to release around the same time as the iPhone Verizon 5, which is supposed to be another feature seen on the new handset.
Yet another feature that is going to be found on the iPhone Verizon 5 is that it will feature the Dual A5 processor used in the iPad 2, which will make it run considerably faster than the iPhone 4. Also, the iPhone Verizon 5 will have an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash for low-light shots, which will be something for other companies to look up to.
