iPhone 5 Rumors: is the iPhone 5 3D?

iPhone 5 Rumors: is the iPhone 5 3D?With the pending release of Apple’s newest iPhone, rumors are running rampant as to the potential specs of the device. As always, Apple will remain quiet concerning the phone until the keynote that reveals it to the public, but many tech bloggers have reason to believe that there are some interesting specs to be thrown into the device from the Cupertino company. So what can you expect when the iPhone 5 hits the retail market later this year? Tech bloggers who claim the iPhone 5 leaked version discovered in a bar early last month could be the key, if the person who holds the device could be found.

One of the biggest questions consumers have for the device and the new technology is whether it will support 4G and whether or not it will be 3D capable. The HTC Evo 4G 3D has planted the possibility of a 3D device in the minds of consumers, though there has been no information relating to whether or not the iPhone 5 will have these capabilities.

iPhone 5 Leaked: Design Available Before Launch Date

While the specifics of the device haven’t been released, the form factor and design documents seem to have found there way on the Internet and into the hands of MacRumors. The website commissioned an artist to render a potential model of the iPhone 5 and now the images have been made public. Keep in mind this is not an official Apple sanctioned photograph, but instead one created by MacRumors in an attempt to determine what the new iPhone 5 leaked device could look like.

As you can see, the device appears to be much slimmer than the iPhone 4, which begs the question, “Is iPhone 5 3D capable?” Many consumers want to hear yes, but the size of the HTC Evo 3D and the size of these renders could indicate that Apple has chosen to stay out of the 3D market for now.

New Carriers: Is iPhone 5 3D?

One of the many reasons consumers are asking is iPhone 5 3D capable is that Sprint is rumored to be a new carrier slated to have the device available on its network once it is released. The Wall Street Journal reported in late August that Sprint was ramping up its network in order to better support the high profile device. Consumers believe because the HTC Evo 3D is available on Sprint, the iPhone 5 may wish to compete with this Android device.
